Finally, the long awaited 'Almighty Arcanum' is here. Salute to Hells Headbangers Records !

 

If all have been warned about 'Darkness Manifest', now behold 'Almighty Arcanum' - the album that will set the world on fire. It celebrates the band glorious return after more than 2-years since 'World Cremation' (2010). It appears conceptual this time and marks their darkest and strongest materials ever. The band stood at its best Black Death Metal ground, sheding away much of the Thrash drive from its earlier phase - 'Hells Infantry' in particular. DENOUNCEMENT PYRE forged darkness in metal with killer punishing riffs and epic song writings. This is why they fuckin' stands out !

 

This also reminds us of their new hoodies - Melbourne : Black Death Holocaust ! Yes, that should sum it up somehow. Killer production and cover artwork too !

 

There are 9 tracks here with intro ("Breath Of Tehom") and one instrumental/sampling piece ("Drakon : All Is One"). The album opened with "An Extension Of The Void", a 7-minutes long track that crushed everything you have heard earlier. While, the tracks "Almighty Arcanum" and "Circle Of Serpents" are ripping outstanding. Another highlight is the track "He Who Conquers All" - a mid-pace epic that erupted into full aggression and prompted us to join helplessly on the final part with fist held high - "Fire ! Fire ! Set The World On Fire ! Crush ! Crush ! Light The Funeral Pyre !" Those who have heard the short promo of the track "Darkness Manifest" will have a taste of the full version, mesmerizing more than 6-minutes.

The best album for 2013 definitely ! It will not goin' to be easy for other bands/labels to match this, or even dream to surpass 'Almighty Arcanum'. So, move away !

This is a must have ! A must have ! Should we say more ?!

I only have good words to describe my experience with DENOUNCEMENT PYRE. I discovered them with the demo released from GOATOWARREX. I asked them to release their first MCD, and it's a great pride for me for having released such a hard boiled record. Even more when it's Chris Volcano who was behind the drum !

I'm proud to see that DENOUNCEMENT PYRE has gained more maturity, and more exposure  by signing with HELLS HEADBANGERS RECORDS (its always a pride to see big labels steal bands from my label, ah ! ah!). I wish the best for the band, and now I have met Decaylust in person, I hope to see the band live soon.

Frankly from us - just take a look at the album cover, all has been well said. It simply reads 'Heavy', 'High' and 'Horror' ... 'Hell' as well if you prefer. But if you still need us to eleborate, it means 'Bloody Fuckin Killer' !!

As a band, HEAVY CROSS  stills remains a mystery to us. It was said they came all the way from Finland and the band also consists of Vince Venom from ARMOUR (remember their successful rocking selftitle debut ?!) and he is also involved in ton other bands, past and present like HORNA / SATANIC WARMASTER / SATANAEL / PEST etc.

 

If you missed the NWOBHM badly, than hearing HEAVY CROSS might get you back up again. The band put it out pretty simple, no gimmick. Clean Heavy Metal with simple-yet-catchy choruses, groving solos, old Heavy Metal lyrics (no dungeons & dragons) and what else do you need ?! So come on damn it ! Sing it ... Ohio's bastard sons of Black Rock 'N' Roll returned with their earlier discography - before their full length debut  'Satanic Royalty' (2011).

This is something like a re-release of 'Complete And Total Fucking Midnight' compilation (2005) with additional materials from 'Farewell To Hell' EP (2008) and the track "Berlin Is Burning " - from 'Berlin Is Burning' compilation (2009).

 

MIDNIGHT needs no introduction as they have burnt down many stages since 2003 with their dirty and raw Speed Heavy Metal. Yes, lust, filth & sleeze, just like they put it. The band is all about getting intoxicated. Laying down the soul to the god of Rock 'N' Roll - VENOM.

The inclusion of 'Farewell To Hell' EP should made the diehards excited as this where you can find MIDNIGHT's classic like "Screams Of Blasphemy" (fuckin' killer ! - moonlite degradation satanic crust, howling incantations fall to dust, screams of blasphemy), "Lucifer's Sanctuary", "Cross Held High" and "Black Rock 'N' Roll". Then there was also "Berlin Is Burning" - simply crushing.

Who's the hell is MONGREL'S CROSS ?! We don't think that listeners need to know, what they need to do is far more crucial - get this debut album now. Why ?! This is one of the best releases so far in the 2nd half of 2012.

This is Aussie trio of Black/Death Metal at its best. The band is brimming with so much potential. Everything was laid out perfectly - from the brilliant cover artwork to the quality song writing. MONGREL'S CROSS ripped your heart out with sheer aggression and power. It spat out a chunk lot of killer throat cutting riffs.

There are 7 tracks here spinning for about 41 minutes. The band blends the intensity with the epic/melodic part well. The opening riff of the 1st track "The Sins Of Aquarius" was enough to obtain our approval. The following tracks like "Rabid Inception", "Hunters Of the Born Again" (absolutely killer) and "When The Dragon Gives Birth" for example, proved that MONGREL'S CROSS simply came to crush, and hell-yes they did.

The band had earlier released a self-titled demo (2009) and two EPs - 'Whoresanna" (2011) and a split with INNSMOUTH (2012).

If you adore DENOUNCMENT PYRE - 'World Cremation' (though they are more thrash driven musically), then this is definitely for you. For us, this is brilliant ! Highly recommended !
